Memorial Transplant Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a motivated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing team. The selected candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of exceptional providers to guide patients and families through every facet of transplant care. The incumbent will focus on the management of kidney, pancreas, abdominal organ transplant, and end-stage renal disease related inpatient services. Candidates must have a national Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification, or Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements are 6 PM – 6 AM, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
About Memorial Transplant Institute
Memorial Transplant Institute is the only center in Broward County to offer kidney and heart transplants to both adults and children. In 2017, with federal approval from UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing), Memorial Transplant Institute launched the adult kidney transplant program with pediatric transplant capabilities at Memorial Regional Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, respectively. The newly launched pancreas program was approved by UNOS in 2023 and is the only program in Broward County to offer pancreas transplants.
