ADVANCED CARDIAC IMAGING (STAFF)

Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute, part of the Memorial Healthcare System, is looking for a BE/BC Cardiologist with expertise and training either in echocardiography with level III echo certification or multimodality imaging with level III cardiac CT and MRI certification. The successful candidate will join a hospital-based multidisciplinary cardiology team which includes heart failure and heart transplant services and will participate in the development of research and educational programs for cardiac fellows. The work and call will consist of a mix of imaging and clinical duties, roughly 50/50. The ideal candidate will have completed a three-year ACGME-accredited fellowship in cardiology and have additional level III fellowship training in advanced echocardiography. Graduating fellows as well as experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.

This is a full-time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers a competitive benefits and compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

About Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute at Memorial Healthcare System

In addition to a large general cardiology practice, the Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute includes all relevant sub-specialties including electrophysiology, preventative and interventional cardiology, vascular, congenital heart disease, imaging and genetics. The cardiothoracic surgical program has also earned and maintained the distinguished three-star rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a 232-bed freestanding facility and part of the Memorial Healthcare System, has an established and highly recognized pediatric heart transplant program. The MCVI performed the first adult heart transplant in Broward County and has an active VAD and Adult Heart Transplant program since 2014. Memorial has the first accredited adult congenital heart program in the State of Florida and is the only ELSO Gold designated ECMO program in South Florida.
