The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is seeking a motivated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing team of providers. The selected candidate will partner with an experienced, multidisciplinary team to provide outpatient and inpatient care to child and adolescent patients with a broad spectrum of hematologic and oncologic conditions. Responsibilities will include follow ups, consults, and rounding on patients, in addition to preparing patients for procedures and infusions. Candidates must have a national Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification or must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master’s equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements are 8AM – 5PM, Monday through Friday, with weekend and holiday coverage as needed. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

The eight-story, nearly 400,000-square-foot, environmentally friendly facility features state-of-the-art patient rooms, cardiac hybrid operating rooms, surgical and interventional radiology suites, intensive care and cardiac intensive care units, intraoperative MRI, family resource and respite spaces, ambulatory services, imaging services that feature a CT scanner disguised as a pirate ship, and inpatient and outpatient pediatric oncology treatment.
