With nearly 261,000 students, the Broward County Public School system is the sixth-largest K-12 school district in the country. BCPS has 241 traditional schools and 92 charter schools, offering a variety of magnet programs, including visual and performing arts, international relations, math, science and technology, pre-engineering, communications and marine sciences. Broward County is also home to a wide variety of preschools and early education centers, as well as many highly regarded private schools.
