Memorial Healthcare System consists of Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Regional Hospital South, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, Memorial Hospital West, Memorial Hospital Miramar, Memorial Hospital Pembroke and numerous ancillary facilities including a five-star-rated nursing home, urgent care centers and a system of primary care centers.

Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital is one of the region's leading pediatric hospitals, offering a comprehensive scope of healthcare services and programs in a child-friendly atmosphere. A full-service hospital, we treat minor illnesses, trauma-related accidents and some of the most complex medical conditions.

Established in 1992, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital combines advanced technology and the expertise of the largest, most diverse group of board-certified pediatric specialists in the region. With its summer 2011 expansion, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital now has 226 beds and is South Florida's newest freestanding children's hospital.

In its first year of operation, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital's medical staff included 90 physicians and patient admissions numbered 2,000. Through the years, the hospital has enhanced and expanded its services and programs to help meet the growing and diverse needs of the community.

The hospital is staffed 24 hours a day by world-class pediatricians, pediatric specialists, specialty-trained nurses and ancillary support staff. Today, more than 650 physicians are on the medical staff.

Offering a full range of congenital heart care, including heart transplantation, our program is one of the top pediatric heart programs in the country. From our outcomes to the experience level of our cardiologists, surgeons, nurses and cardiac support staff, we provide excellent pediatric heart care.

Memorial Cancer Institute is taking cancer care to the next level, diagnosing and treating some of the most prevalent cancers in the United States. With a focus on research and clinical trials, Memorial Cancer Institute finds innovative solutions to the most complex cases, collaborating with some of the best cancer research networks in the country to allow patients access to advanced therapies and new drugs in development. Memorial Cancer Institute is a member of the National Consortium of Breast Cancers. Research affiliations include the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, Sarah Cannon Research Institute and Academic and Community Cancer Research United (ACCRU) at Mayo Clinic.

Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute at Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Hospital West is recognized as a leader in innovative care for heart disease and cardiovascular conditions. Highly skilled specialists and surgeons work together as a multidisciplinary team to personalize compassionate, comprehensive and coordinated medical management and treatments. The institute has received the Society of Thoracic Surgeons’ Three-Star Rating and has been ranked by Truven Health Analytics’ as one of the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation for superior cardiac care.

Memorial Neuroscience Institute uses advanced technology and innovative procedures to treat a broad spectrum of neurological conditions, including brain tumors, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and stroke. The institute offers a wide range of surgical services, including pediatric surgery, pituitary surgery, tumor surgery, cerebrovascular surgery and spinal reconstruction surgery. Memorial Neuroscience Institute also offers minimally invasive procedures such as image-guided brain surgery. The institute has been named a Neuroscience Institute of Excellence and has been awarded the Gold Plus Achievement Award for excellence in treating stroke.

Memorial Transplant Institute is one of only two centers in Broward and Palm Beach counties offering pediatric and adult heart and kidney transplant services. As part of a much broader hospital network, we have access to the most recent medical advances and latest research, as well as a diverse array of resources.

Memorial Physician Group is the collective body of all employed physicians at Memorial Healthcare System, consisting of more than 300 highly skilled, nationally recognized, adult and pediatric specialists.
