The Cardiac and Vascular Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is searching for a motivated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to supervise a team of Advanced Practice Providers. This leadership role involves clinical and administrative responsibilities including overseeing daily operations of a multidisciplinary team of cardiac specialists. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a cardiology setting. Candidates must have a national Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification or must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master’s equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements will be consistent with the clinical practice area schedule, with weekend and holiday coverage, as needed. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

The Memorial Cardiac and Vascular Institute (MCVI) is the regional market leader in cardiovascular services. The MCVI has an extensive multidisciplinary team that provides cardiovascular care of the highest quality for pediatric and adult patients in our community. The adult cardiac surgery program currently has three adult cardiac surgeons aided by a dedicated cardiac surgery team which includes anesthesia, OR nursing, CVICU critical care physicians, and CVICU nursing. The MCVI has a strong commitment to provide state-of-the-art advanced heart failure care to our community, which includes separate clinical teams to provide pediatric and adult heart failure care. The adult advanced heart failure team provides heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support services including all FDA-approved implantable long-term devices and temporary support devices. A busy adult ECMO program provides critical care/ECMO transport services with deployment of ECMO by our team at referring facilities.
