HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY OR CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGY

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a health psychologist and/or neuropsychologist for full-time opportunity to join our Inpatient Behavioral Health team. Opportunities are available for candidates with experience in consultation liaison work with adult patients and their families in an acute medical environment with a focus on trauma, stroke, SCI, amputation and kidney/heart transplant patients, and general medical patients. Positions are supervised by on-site psychologists and do not require an on-call schedule.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessment and ongoing treatment of patients throughout their inpatient hospital stay

• Collaborating with treatment team members to formulate clinical intervention and referring patients to other disciplines for consult and evaluation as indicated.

• Providing neuropsychological & psychological expertise and education to a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

• Acting as resource to other disciplines on patient and behavioral problems related to various psychological or neuro-psychological disorders.

• Developing and providing education to both hospital staff and to the community.

• Providing support and education to the patient’s family. Candidates must have an active and clear Florida license. The position offers a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
